You have a business name, logo, course name, coaching concept, tag-line, or podcast name that you want to make sure no one else copies?
You worry that your business name, logo, concept, podcast name, and slogan are already being used by someone else and that you might have to rebrand?
You're nervous about the 8-18 month registration process and want to get some sort of legal protection right now?
You've invested thousands of hours and dollars growing your business and want to do everything in your power to make sure that your brand is 100% yours?
A trademark protects all of your branding elements (e.g., your business name, logo, slogan, tag-line, course or program name, even product packaging). Owning your trademark gives you the right to stop copycats from using the same or similar mark to sell their products and services.
The trademark registration process takes anywhere between 8-18 months. Although registration is not guaranteed, as a serious business owner, it's worth the investment of your time and money to make sure that your brand is 100% yours.
If you compare the cost of engaging an experienced trademark attorney to the cost of litigating a trademark dispute, or the cost incurred if you have to stop using a mark after spending years building up the value of the mark through advertising and marketing campaigns, it becomes clear that hiring a trademark attorney is the less costly alternative.
According to the Wallstreet Journal, trademark applicants represented by attorneys are 50% more likely to get through the registration process than those who go at it alone.
Without trademark registration, you don't legally own the rights to the name of your business, logo, tag-line, or any of your brand assets, including your logo or any slogans associated with your brand. Anyone can use your brand “assets” without your permission.
As your brand grows and gains more exposure, you’re going to have more eyes, more visibility, and more people engaging with your brand. It becomes critical that your trademark rights are 100% yours.
If you've fallen in love with your business name, logo, or slogan and plan to use it for years to come, then you'll need to do everything in your power to secure your rights.
You'll want to register your trademark so that you can:

I will send you a trademark questionnaire to complete so that I can gather background information on your mark and your business that will help me perform the trademark search and that will help me file your application.
From the questionnaire that you completed, I will use the information you provided to prepare your application. I will provide instructions on what types of proof the United States Patent and Trademark Office accepts.
We work together to select the best form of evidence to submit and we decide on which classifications to file and how to best describe your trademark.
Once you provide the required information and materials and assuming the mark is available, I’ll file your trademark application with the USPTO.
I monitor your application, handle all correspondence with the USPTO examining attorney throughout the 8-18 month process.
I handle all emails, calls, and any additional information requested from the USPTO, including responding to Office Actions. Most law firms do not include responses to Office Actions as part of their fee.
"Zara is not only thorough, organized, and extremely knowledgeable about every in and out of trademark law, but she is deeply supportive, thoughtful, and compassionate."
What I knew about Trademarking: It is necessary if you want to grow your own business. What I did not know: It is a nearly year-long process of back and forth with USTPO attorneys, other businesses, revisions, and check-ins. After going through this process, I can honestly say that there is no way I could have done it successfully without Zara. Zara is not only thorough, organized, and extremely knowledgeable about every in and out of trademark law, but she is deeply supportive, thoughtful, and compassionate. If things were difficult on her end, I would never know it, because Zara made me feel like my trademark process was the only thing she was working on. Never perturbed by a question and always available when I needed her, it is clear to me that Zara does her absolute best for every client. Plus, she was incredibly transparent about the cost, timeline, and logistics of the process. Kindness + Honesty + Skills = the perfect Trademark Attorney. Honestly, I cannot recommend Zara enough. Thank you Zara!

My question to you is what is not securing your trademark going to cost you over the next 10 years?
If you compare the cost of having to stop using a mark after spending years building up the value of the mark through advertising and marketing campaigns, and the over $100,000 cost of litigating a trademark dispute, it becomes clear that hiring an expert trademark attorney is the less costly alternative.
You could keep building your brand, gaining more visibility, and exposing your brand unprotected, but I’m sure that this isn’t a risk that you’re willing to take.
Let’s secure your mark.
